Create and use a growing schedule
Whether you grow in open ground or in pots, your plants will eventually need support. A clear schedule shows which nutrients and additives to use, how much to give and when.
How do I make my own culture scheme?
We have Culture schedule Calculator With which you can create a personal culture scheme.
- To begin with, you indicate the culture style you want to use. For the novice grower that will be 100% NATURE. This also determines which basic food you use, because you do not want to confuse the nutrients and substrates.
- Then choose whether you grow in pots or the open ground.
- In pots. Here you must indicate what content your pots have and how many pots you use. Don’t you know the contents of your jars? Then you can calculate that by measuring and filling in the height, width and depth.
- Full ground. Fill in how many square meters of soil you have available to grow your plants and how many plants you plant.
- Then you have to fill out which substrate you use. Advice on substrates is given with the Substreet Selector.
- Then you must indicate how long the growth and flowering periods of your plants are. This varies by species and you may not know this yet. The website has a table available with the most common periods for popular fruit and vegetables. You can also check your seeds or cuttings when buying how long the growth and flowering phases of that plant are.
- Finally, you have to indicate how much water (so food solution) you want to give.
- Click on “Click on “Calculate your culture schedule” and you will get a table of doses of basic food and three additives for the best cultivation result. At the bottom you will find a link to download the schema and another link to the Shoplocator.
Use your culture scheme
What exactly is in your culture schedule? From left to right you see the weekly numbers. Under each number is shown from top to bottom what you should give to your plants that week. The quantities are always appropriate to the amount of water you indicated earlier. Save the schedule on your phone so you always have it with you.
At the bottom of the scheme are also mentioned additives that give your plant a better start or help him to make better fruits in the flowering phase. These are just as easy to use as the basic food. So you can use them from the first week, as recommended in the schedule.
